By default, courses are disabled. This means students cannot see the course or access course content. You will need to change some settings to allow student access.
Once you have logged on to ANGEL, you will be taken to your Home page. Locate the section entitled ANGEL Courses. Your course should be listed in this section. If you do not see it, read the section on Viewing Disabled Courses.
Click on the course name to enter the course. Click on the Manage tab and locate the section header entitled Course Settings. Click on the subheading General Course Settings to go to the Course Settings editor page. Click the Course Data tab.
Enable your course
Locate the Access Settings section towards the bottom of this page. The drop down menu to the right of the Member Access item is set to Editors Only by default. Use the drop down box to choose All Members. Be sure to click the Save button when you are done. The course will now display in a student's Home page for students who are enrolled in the course. If there are no access dates set, students can now access the course content as well.
Access by date
You can further control course access using the opening and closing date settings. On this same page, locate the General Information section. Modify the Course Begins and Course Ends dates and times to suit your needs. You must click the small checkbox to the left of these settings. Doing so will place a check mark in the box and make those dates effective. If the box is not checked, the dates will have no effect.
Be sure to click the Save button when you are done.
