Copy Items

Quick steps:

  1. Click the Lessons tab.
  2. Navigate to the location where you want the copy to appear.
  3. Click on the Add Content link.
  4. Click on the Copy Items link under the More Options section.
  5. Click the folder or file you wish to copy.
  6. Once the copy is created, click the Edit button to change its title.

Remember: You are making a copy of an item, not moving it, so the original will still exist. If you don't want the original to remain where you copied it from, make sure to hide, move or delete it.

The Copy Items tool allows you to easily duplicate any folder or file in your course. For instance, this could be used to copy a drop box, quiz, or survey.

In the Lessons tab, navigate to the appropriate folder or location where you want the copy to be placed, then select Add Content in the toolbar. Select the Copy Items link under the More Options section and you will see a listing of all the folders and content items in your course. Click the folder or file you wish to copy and a duplicate file or folder with the same name will then be created in that location.

Note: The top "ID" link (e.g., "ss04-EL-LCT-101-1") represents the entire course. Do not click on that link unless you wish to copy all the files and folders in the course.
