The Course "Tabs"
Quick steps:
- Navigate to your Home page.
- Select a course by clicking on its link.
- By default, each ANGEL course contains six tabs for students along the top of each page: Course, Calendar, Lessons, Resources, Communicate, Report. Each tab contains distinct course content. In addition, instructors have two additional tabs: Automate and Manage.

Course: This page welcomes students to your course and provides summary information such as Activity at a Glance, Grades and Course Announcements.
Calendar: The calendar may be used to notify students of assignment dates, labs, exams or other appointments. Meetings, reminders and other announcements may be made here.
Lessons: This tab contains all of the course content. Lessons, instructions, quizzes and so on will be located here.
Resources: The course syllabus is located under this tab. In addition, you can add links to Wikipedia, Google and other dictionaries. Course links and other institutional resources (if any) will be found under this tab.
Communicate: This tab provides access to course communication tools. Email, course roster, Discussion Forums, Live Chat rooms and Live Office Hours are some of the tools available.
Report: This tab contains tools for viewing reports about student activity, attendance, posts, grades, milestones and more.
Automate: This tab provides access to tools that allow the instructor to add agents that run on a scheduled basis or upon request; agents that run when a user views, takes, submits, or reviews a content item; or an agent that runs when a user accesses specific areas within the ANGEL environment.
Manage: This tab provides a wide array of course management tools, including tools for grading and attendance. It has tools to let you edit course settings, and tools that allow you to backup, restore, import and export and manage files.
Note: The instructor has the ability to modify which tabs show and even the names displayed in each tab. In addition, each page may be modified to provide or remove access to many of the items on the page. Thus each course may differ slightly.
