Creating an assessment will only create a assessment "shell". By default, a Question Set will have been created. You will need to add questions to the Question Set. You can add additional Question Sets if required. Each Question Set can be configured separately.
Creating an Assessment "Shell":
Navigate to the folder in the Lessons tab where you wish to create the assessment. Click Add Content in the toolbar, then click Assessment to enter the New Assessment editor.
Assessment settings:
Since ANGEL alphabetizes gradebook items you may wish to think about naming conventions for your items. When giving your assessment a title, keep in mind that graded items in the Learner Profile are identified using the first letter of the first three words of the title. For example, "Assessment Week 1," which would be abbreviated as "AW1," is a better title than "Assessment on the topics for week one," which would be abbreviated as "AOT."
You may add Directions if you wish. Use the Access, Delivery, Submission, Review, Actions and Assignment tabs to make your selections. To set the maximum number of attempts that students are permitted to take the quiz (Max Attempts) use the Submission tab. The default is "1," but the range is unlimited to 200.
Use the Delivery tab to view additional assessment settings like time limits. Use the Review tab to set feedback settings. The Standards and Objectives can be used to map these items to assessment questions. Finally, set your Access and Assignment settings and click the Save button below.
See the next section to read about adding questions to your assessment.
