ANGEL lesson content is structured in an outline-type format. Folders are very useful in helping to organize your content. Folders may be added under the Lessons tab. Locate the toolbar under the course title at the top of the page. Locate and click on the Add Content link. Click on the Folder link from the menu that appears.
You will be taken to the New Folder settings page. At the very least, enter a title for the folder under the Content tab. You may also add descriptive text or icon images to the folder itself. Under the Content tab, Page Settings section, locate the Page Text box and enter your content there. Be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page when you are done.
The page you are returned to is inside the new folder. At this point you can add items within the folder such as pages or quizzes.
Note: There are additional folder and access settings which give you control over the folder and its contents. These are covered in detail under Access Settings and Item Settings.
Unique to the folder, however, are Cascade Settings under the Access tab. You can change any of the settings listed, click on the check box next to the setting name under the Cascade Settings section and it will propagate this change throughout the folder to all items the folder contains. The next time you enter this page, the checkbox will not be checked, but the settings will have been changed and remain so until you make another change and then click the checkbox again.
