Import from a Course or Group

Quick steps:

  1. Click the Lessons tab.
  2. Navigate to the location where you want the item to appear.
  3. Click on the Add Content link.
  4. From under the More Options section, lick on the Import from a Course or Group link.
  5. Using the drop down menu under Section, choose the name of the course or group from which you would like to copy content..
  6. Click the Browse button.
  7. Click the check box next to the name of an item to be imported.
  8. Click the Copy Item button to complete the operation.
  9. Click the Done button when you are done.

Note: this item does not show up in your Create an Item options until you have membership in at least two courses.

You can copy items from another course for which you have editing rights by using the Import from a Course or Group option. Using this method, you import a copy of a file or folder. After you import the item, you can modify it.

Click the Lessons tab of your course and navigate to the folder where you wish to add content. Select the Add Content link on the toolbar. Under the More Options section click Import from a Course or Group. Then,using the drop down bar under Section choose the name of the course or group from which you would like to copy content. Click the Browse button. You will see an index view of all the content available in the selected course. To import an item, check the box next to its name. Click on the Copy Item button. You can continue selecting items to import, or click the Finished button if you are done. The items will be imported into your current working folder.

Note: If you click on the topmost folder, then the entire course will be imported.
