As with quizzes, there are several options for copying or importing existing surveys from courses in which you have editor rights. They are:

Copy a Survey: This copies an entire survey in the Lessons area. Go to the Lessons tab and select Add Content, then Copy Items. Select the survey to copy from the list. Click the Settings button next to the duplicate survey to change its title. You may select Rearrange or Utilities then Move Item to change its location.

Copy Survey Questions: Use this to import questions into a preexisting survey. Imported questions are added to the bottom of the survey. Make sure you are in a survey and select Add Question, then Copy Questions. Select the survey you are importing from in the pull-down menu, then select which questions to import on the following page.

Copy Survey Choices: Use this option to copy the same set of responses (e.g., a Likert scale) from question to question. Go to a survey, then click the Edit button next to a preexisting question. Scroll to Choices then click Copy in the toolbar. Click Save then create or navigate to another question. In the new question, go to Choices then click Paste.

Import Survey Questions: This allows you to import survey questions from a text file. Make sure you are in a survey and select Add Question, then Import Questions. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen for formatting and importing the text file.
