Tab Settings gives you control over the tab students first see when entering your course, and the naming of tabs in your course. Please note that changing tab names may confuse students who read ANGEL help guides. ANGEL help guides reference the default ANGEL tab names. Changing your tabs will create a discontinuity between the ANGEL help guides and your course.

From within your course click the Manage tab and locate the Course Settings section heading. Click the Tab Settings link to enter the Tab Settings editor.

Under the Start Tab section header you can choose to change the tab or URL one sees upon arriving at your course site. Use the drop down menu to determine your start tab. If you prefer, a Start URL will allow you to enter a world wide web URL.

The next section allows you to change the names of your tabs as well as determine who they will be Viewable By.

Label: determines the new name for a tab.

Viewable By: determines if the tab is viewable and/or to which group of users. Disabling a tab removes it from the tab selection list at the top of the course.

URL: permits a world wide web URL in place of an ANGEL page as your tab.

When you made your changes in settings on this page, click the Save button at the page bottom.
