- Click the Manage tab.
- Locate the Data Management section.
- Click the Export Wizard link.
- Click the ANGEL Archive link.
- Select your export options by either checking or unchecking the boxes.
- Click the Export button.
- Most browsers will prompt you to choose a location to save the downloaded .zip file.
- Name the file something memorable.
- Consider burning a copy of this file to a CD for safe keeping.

From within your course you would like to export content from, go to the Manage tab. Look for the Data Management section heading. Click the link for Export Wizard to enter the Content Export Wizard editor. Click ANGEL Archive to export date to an ANGEL zip archive file.
You have the options of including various general settings, content items and user data with your exported zip file. Use the checkboxes to select or deselect this data. Click the Export button once you have made your choices.
Note: It may be a good idea to export all data in case you ever want to restore this course to a state which includes all student data. Upon import back into ANGEL, you have the option to include or exclude this data.
In most browsers a pop-up window will appear saying, "Download Archive" with a Save and Close button. Click the Save button to download the archive .zip file.
If you don't get the pop-up window, scroll to the bottom of the checklist page and under "Export Complete" there is a Download file to your Computer link which you may click. This brings up a window which has Save and Close buttons. Click the Save button. From the dialogue box, choose a place on your computer to save this file and then click OK. Don't forget where you saved it. If you intend on keeping this file indefinitely, it is recommended you place the zip file in a folder that has the name of the course, semester, and year. Remember that ANGEL courses are deleted 2 years after the year they are offered.
When you are done, click the Exit Export Wizard button to return to the Manage tab page.
