Click the Manage tab. Locate the Data Management section heading click the link for Import Wizard to enter the Content Import Wizard editor. Click the link Content Package. Click the Browse button, and find your exported ANGEL course zip file. When you have selected a file in Browse, click Upload File button. A message will display that your file has been successfully uploaded.
Next you will need to select Import Settings. By default all the items are checked to be imported. If there is an item you do not want to import, click the check box to remove the check. Typically you will wish to import all the items listed in the Content column. NOTE: You will probably wish to uncheck the item "Discussion Posts". This deletes the posts made by students from the previous semester. If you uncheck this box, the posts will not copy. The forums themselves will still copy over. You may also wish to uncheck "Announcements" and "Calendar" so you do not need to delete old dates and information.
The User Data column is a different story. This includes all the data added to the course by your previous students. If this is a fresh iteration of your course, don't copy any of the data from this column. The easy way to uncheck all these items is to click the box next to User Data two times. The first click adds a check to the box, but the second click removes all checks from all items in that column.
Click the Import Data button. A process will now run and import your data. When it confirms that it is done, click the OK button. Click the Exit Import Wizard to return to the Manage tab page.
Note: You may find using the link Course Copy to be the quickest and simplest way to copy a course you have just finished offering into new semester space. Go to the new course space, click on the Manage tab, locate the Data Management section heading, click the link for Import Wizard and then click the link for Copy Course. Use the drop down menu to select your Source Course/Group. Be sure to decide if you want the two check boxes checked or not. Then click the Import button. This operation does not copy any user data.
