The Course tab page is the first course page you see when you enter your course. It contains announcements and messages from your courses. This page may be turned off by the instructor.
If this page has been turned off, students can still see announcements by going to the Communicate tab and under the Course News and Events section, and looking for the Announcements link.
Quick steps to start at a different tab:
- You can change the page students view when they first log into the course.
- Click the Manage tab.
- Locate the Course Settings section.
- Click the Tab Settings link.
- Use the drop down box under Start Tab to select an ANGEL tab or enter a URL in the Start URL field.
- Click the Save button.

If you disable this page, the initial page displayed to users entering the course will be whichever of the six course tabs you have set as the start tab; the default is the next tab that is viewable. Even if the Course tab page is disabled, clicking on the Communicate tab will allow students to view course news, polls and announcements, even though these will no longer automatically be displayed first every time the student enters the course.
