You can upload a wide variety of file types into ANGEL for students to download, including web pages, text documents, spreadsheets, PowerPoint files, audio files, zip files and more.
How to upload a file:
In the Lessons tab, navigate to the appropriate folder or location, then click the Add
Content link in the toolbar. Click File, then click on the Browse button and select the relevant file on your local disk or drive. This will fill in the File to Upload field for you.
Add a descriptive Title. It is often a good idea to include a file type in the title field (e.g., "Some Data (Excel)"), so students know what kind of file they are about to download.
Leave the File Type setting as Auto-Detect and click the Upload File button to upload the file. You should see a confirmation message saying "File Upload Successful." Click the OK button to return to the course.
Click the Settings button beneath an uploaded file if you wish to add a Subtitle. You can also add download instructions or a message about the file content in the Description textbox. Click the Save button when you are finished.
Note: If you are viewing the file, you can edit it by clicking on the Settings link in the toolbar.
Note: If you need to replace a file you have uploaded with a new version, navigate to the file in the Lessons tab, open it, then click the Utilities link in the toolbar. Click Re-upload File and re-upload.
